Work engagement is an emerging concept and important for both employees and organisations. In this course, we first focus on the history and measurement of work engagement. Second, we get to know the Job Demand-Resources (JD-R) Model and serval studies in which this model was tested. Finally, we discuss intervention studies, which investigate whether work engagement may be enhanced.
