Dear all,

the first exercise sheet is available now. It is due (electronically) next Friday at noon. You can form teams of two to solve it and hand it in. Make sure that the names of all members of the team appear on your solution. To write your solution, please consider using LaTeX; a template is available in our WueCampus course. Please upload a pdf with your solutions to WueCampus.

I uploaded a slightly modified version of the slides right after the lecture.

If you found linear programming as a method a bit tough, then consider doing the master course "Operations Research" where you will learn more about linear programming, or the master courses "Advanced Algorithms" or "Computational Geometry" that are about algorithms, but not based on linear programming.

Have a good start into the winter term!
