Augmented reality (AR) describes enhancing reality with virtual content. With the development of comparatively lightweight, high-resolution and at the same time computationally powerful hardware such as AR glasses, tablets and smartphones, the importance of AR for research but also for commercial use has been rapidly increasing in recent years.

In the Augmented Reality lecture, we look at the current state of the art and research, exploring a hot topic in interaction and computer graphics. The contents of the lecture include an introduction to the devices used, tracking methods, computer vision, calibration and registration, rendering and interaction.
