In this seminar, we investigate the many environmental and social challenges that result from China’s economic development. We start with reading some relevant theoretical literature on sustainable development, green growth and a green economy and then address a number of specific challenges, their causes as well as Chinese strategies to deal with them.
The seminar is open for students of the master programs “China Language and Economy” as well as “China Business and Economics”.
We will intensively discuss the reading material provided for each session. Therefore, you have to read all texts thoroughly!
