Welcome and course Introduction
Welcome to the vhb “English for studying, working and living abroad” course geared to the CEFR B2 level. This course is designed for the student who would like to go abroad to study and /or work. The course welcomes students from all faculties, however students are required to submit proof of language skills, B2. Please upload proof/placement test results when applying.
The course is divided into three modules and each module is further divided into three sub-modules with material and exercises followed by a module exam.

Module 2:

Module 2.4 Writing task and Module 2 exam
Module 3:
Module 3.1 Culture, Money and Banking
Module 3.2 Housing and Accommodation
Module 3.3 Health and Well-Being
Module 3.4 Module 3 exam and final exam
Every submodule has its own glossary to explain new vocabulary, word collocations, and synonyms. For every submodule there is also a set of Glossary Exercises that need to be submitted for correction by the set deadline.
Upon successful completion of all three modules and module tests, the student is eligible for 3 ECTS points and a certificate of completion. The student can also request a "Teilnahmebescheinigung".
Whether you are applying for an Erasmus semester/year, semester abroad, internship or seeking employment, this course is designed to polish your English language skills and the skills needed for the time abroad. There are ample opportunities to practice both the material and selected vocabulary.
